Your Run the Race visit is a chance for you to pray for your parish and celebrate all that you have done in your community. There are four elements to a Run the Race pilgrimage visit...
Your Run the Race visit is a chance for you to pray for your parish and celebrate all that you have done in your community.
1. Prayer Prayer is an important part of the pilgrimage. A short service of prayer usually takes place as the Bishop arrives in the parish.
2. Parish Visit The Bishop is keen to see a project or visit key people or places that are an important part of the parish.
3. Community Reception This is a chance for you to invite key members of your community to meet the Bishop and tell their stories.
4. The Baton Service During this specially written service there is encouragement to pass the baton of faith to the next generation, there is also an individual laying on of hands and blessing from the Bishop.
